The ADW-FFW Weighing Indicator / Controller for Fast Fill Operations, Panel or DIN rail mount indicator / controller for strain gauge or load cell applications with setpoints and a wide range of optional output modules, optimised for fast fill operations

ADW-FFW

The ADW15 is a very flexible digital indicator and display system in a panel mount format, optimised for single or multiple load cell and weighing applications. The digital architecture offers very easy one-pass calibration and fast setup. This versatile amplifier panel meter offers options of isolated analogue outputs, latching relays or digital outputs for control or alarm functions. The RS232 or RS485 options provide for digital communications (including setup) and can support label or ticket printers. For a wall or surface mount version, see model SMW Weighing Indicator / Controller, and for a wireless radio telemetry version, see model TDUDIS Radio Telemetry Display Module.

 

The ADW-FFW Weighing Indicator / Controller for Fast Fill Operations version adds the capability to manage and control the fill by weight of containers such as bags, drums, etc, and combines a high speed measurement rate with in-flight compensation techniques to provide maximum throughput for operational efficiency.

 

Other specialised versions of the model ADW15 Weighing Indicator / Controller exist for the following functions :

  • ADW-BW - Batch Weighing - up to 12 components or ingredients
  • ADW-LW - Loss-in-Weight weighing
  • ADW-SP16 - Process weighing with up to 16 setpoints

Features & Benefits

Standard ADW15 features include:

  • Provides excitation of 10V @ 160mA to drive up to 6 x 350 Ohm load cells
  • Variable gain input sensitivity from 0.5 to 200 mV/V
  • Six wire measurement system can compensate for zener barrier losses
  • Fully digital set-up and calibration using built-in LED display and keypad or comms
  • Simple one pass auto calibration for minimum set-up time on site
  • Auto tare and peak hold actioned by volt-free contacts
  • Setpoints and event handling using digital inputs and 2 x SPCO relays
  • Programmable in-flight compensation for dynamic weighing operations
  • High accuracy and high stability over a wide temperature range
  • Fully isolated 4~20mA and 0-10V analog outputs
  • RS232 or RS485 communications for setup, data transfer or label/ticket printing
  • Small panel space - DIN 72 x 72 mm - DIN rail mounting kit available
  • AC or DC power supply options

Additional features provided by the ADW-FFW Weighing Indicator / Controller for Loss in Weight version are:

  • 100 samples per second for accurate fill control
  • Fast & slow feed rate control with in-flight compensation
  • System speed optimisation (self-learning)
  • 'Weight complete' output and totaliser functionality
  • Stand alone system or control with PLC
  • Select switch input for up to 10 fill selections
