Re-Forming in the context of capacitor manufacture refers to the process of re-forming the insulating layer on the anode of the newly manufactured item.
The process involves several hours of elapsed time during which the voltage applied to the capacitor is progressively increased while the current flow is carefully controlled. This process is sometimes called Ageing.
